About Kisoro Concern for Marginalised People Organisation

Kisoro Concern for Marginalised People Organisation is a community based organization operating in the district of Kisoro, South Western Uganda, East Africa. Its head offices are located in Kisoro Municipal Council. It was registered in 2009 by Nambajimana Alex as the executive director. The organization has been involved in organizing communities especially the indigenous minority people (Batwa), refugees, widows, street children, people infected with HIV/AIDS, orphans and other vulnerable people in ensuring that they have better life. The organisation partners with other organisations such as Call to Africa Mission, Africa for Jesus, and receives friendship donations from friends and well-wishers who feel they can do something to create an impact in the lives of marginalised groups of people in Uganda.

Who do we work with

The communities involved have been the pygmies from Nyakabande and Nyarusiza sub counties, refugees, street children, orphans and other vulnerable people from different sub counties of Kisoro district. These initiatives of development have helped many communities especially in income generation for sustainable development. The objective for KCOMPO has been put on improving the livelihood of the marginalized people and assisting them in becoming self-reliant people. The developments are community owned and aimed at creating high standards of living.
